- WAX PORTRAIT OF SIR CHRISTOPHER WREN,
WAX PORTRAIT OF SIR CHRISTOPHER WREN, CA. 1790 6½" x 5½" framed Sir Christopher Wren PRS FRS (30 October 1632 [O.S. 20 October] – 8 March 1723 [O.S. 25 February) was one of the most highly acclaimed English architects in history, as well as an anatomist, astronomer, geometer, and mathematician-physicist. He was accorded responsibility for rebuilding 52 churches in the City of London after the Great Fire in 1666, including what is regarded as his masterpiece, St Paul's Cathedral, on Ludgate Hill, completed in 1710.
The principal creative responsibility for a number of the churches is now more commonly attributed to others in his office, especially Nicholas Hawksmoor. Other notable buildings by Wren include the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, and the south front of Hampton Court Palace.
Educated in Latin and Aristotelian physics at the University of Oxford, Wren was a founder of the Royal Society and served as its president from 1680 to 1682.[6] His scientific work was highly regarded by Isaac Newton and Blaise Pascal.

- Justin Vulliamy (1712-1797), London,
Justin Vulliamy (1712-1797), London, White and Gold Royal Berlin (KPM) Porcelain Mantel Clock, third quarter 19th century, in the Louis XVI taste, presented on a conforming gilt-brass-edged platform base, with a two-train fusee movement, the interior gilt-brass backplate engraved "Just. Vulliamy/London", the dial cover of convex glass, h. 16", w. 7-1/2", d. 6-1/2". The underside of the clock base is affixed with two paper labels containing notes on the provenance of the clock. The first is printed, probably from an auction or saleroom catalogue, and states that the clock was presented by Queen Victoria to the Duke of Cambridge (presumably her cousin Prince George, Duke of Cambridge (1819-1904), son of Prince Adolphus and grandson of George III), and was later owned by Henry Dunn, Esq. of Woolley Hall, Maidenhead. (Noted book collector George Dunn (1865-1912) purchased Woolley Hall in 1881.) The second is a later typewritten label noting that the clock, formerly belonging to the Windsor Castle collection, was repaired on May 11, 1943, at which time it was owned by Dr. William H. Wight.
